Sacha Baron Cohen Dupes Sarah Palin Into Interview While Posing as Disabled War Vet

Playing How Sarah Palin Got Pranked by Sacha Baron Cohen

Sarah Palin is livid after she was duped by prankster Sacha Baron Cohen.

"Ya' got me, Sacha," she wrote on Facebook Tuesday. She then called out the comedian for his "sick" and "evil" humor.

The British comedian tricked the former Alaskan governor into appearing on his new Showtime series, "Who Is America?"

He posed as a disabled veteran confined to a wheelchair to pull off the appearance.

"Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long 'interview' full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm — but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin. The disrespect of our U.S. military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse," she said.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney also fell for it. Somehow, Cohen persuaded Cheney to sign a "waterboarding kit," which was just an empty jug.

"That's a first for me," Cheney said. "Signing a waterboard."

Conservative media is in an uproar over Cohen's antics, with Fox News calling it, "A Hollywood hit job on Trump supporters and the Republican Party."

"Who Is America?" premieres Sunday on the cable network and President Trump is featured in its promos, a 2012 clip in which Trump calls Cohen a "third-rate guy" and adding that "I only wish he’d have been punched in the face so many times."

Trump was hitting back at Cohen after he tried to fool him when the comedian was in character known as Ali G for his early 2000s series, "Da Ali G Show."

In the skit, Cohen was trying to convince Trump to invest in a product known as “the ice cream glove hand," but Trump quickly realized it was a gag and walked out.
