The urge for Michelle Obama to run for president is growing.

FoxNews.com reports Democratic Party bigwigs are "urging" the former first lady to enter the race.

The call for the former first lady to throw her hat into the ring comes as Democratic front-runner Joe Biden is getting pummeled by President Trump over his son Hunter's business dealings in Ukraine and China.

Other Democratic contenders are facing their own struggles: Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders suffered a heart attack just last week.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren may be surging in the polls, but she is seen by some as too left-wing to defeat Trump.

Obama, on the other hand, was voted: "the most admired woman in the country,” according to Gallup.

In another survey by YouGov, she was named “the most admired woman in the world!"

Washington Post Editor Steven Levingston, the author of the new book, “Barack and Joe, The Making of an Extraordinary Partnership,” spoke to Inside Edition about the propect of Michelle running.

“I think people would like her to run for the White House,” he said. “It is felt she is truly a star who could do almost anything or win any election.”

He added that Michelle would “be an interesting candidate,” saying she “would shake up the whole system, the whole primary, it would be an exciting time.”

“Of the people out there she could fight Trump in a way that could be masterful,” he said. “We know she likes to go high when everyone else goes low and she’s very good at it and it might just work.”

However, the former first lady has been very clear since she left office that she will not run.
