Swimmers Accuse Their Coaches of Sexual Harassment
Former elite swimmers are talking about the sexual abuse they say they suffered at the hands of their coaches. Laura Weiss was a high school freshman when she says her coach, Chris Wheat, started abusing her. “He told me I would never be allowed to swim again,” she said. “So the blame was heavily put on me to keep quiet.” Attorney Bob Allard said the problem is widespread. “We're talking well over a hundred Larry Nassars,” he said.
